Accessibility

We are an eye care practice. A website our own patients cannot use would be a poor advertisement for our care.

Our commitment

We are an eye care practice. A number of the people reading this have low vision, a restricted field of view, or difficulty with contrast — sometimes because of a condition we are treating. A website they cannot use would be a poor advertisement for our care.

We have built this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we have gone past that where it was possible.

What that means in practice

Comfort mode

If a bright screen is uncomfortable, use the Comfort mode switch under “Display” in the footer of any page. It changes the site to a softer, lower-glare background while preserving strong text contrast. Your choice is remembered on this device until you switch it off.

Where we know we fall short

The map of our office is a Google embed. We show a still image first and only load the map when you choose to, which keeps the page fast and private — but once loaded, the map itself is Google's and we do not control its accessibility. The address, written directions and a link to directions are all available as plain text, so nothing is only reachable through the map.

We do not yet have photographs of the practice that meet our own standard. Rather than use stock photography of people pretending to be patients, we have left those spaces empty for now.

If something does not work for you

Please tell us — call (401) 737-2200. If any part of this site is a barrier, we will help you directly over the phone and we will fix the site. Nothing here is more important than you being able to reach us.
