What this policy covers
This policy is about calendaeyecare.com — the website. It is separate from our Notice of Privacy Practices, which governs your medical information and is the document that matters if you are a patient.
The short version: this site collects as little as it can. There is no account to create, no tracking of you across other websites, and no advertising.
What we collect
If you fill in the contact form, we receive what you typed: your name, email address, an optional phone number, how you would prefer to be contacted, the reason you selected, and your message. That is sent to the practice by email and is not stored in a database.
Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a real browser rather than a script. Turnstile is designed not to track people across sites and does not use cookies for that purpose.
To limit abuse of the form, we count how many submissions arrive from a given internet connection in an hour. We store a one-way hash of the IP address, never the address itself, and it is deleted automatically within about an hour.
What we do not collect
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, session recording, or social media pixels. We do not sell or share your information. We do not send anything you type into the form to an analytics service — not the message, not your email address, not any part of it.
The contact form is not confidential
Ordinary email is not a secure channel, and the contact form ends up in an email inbox. Please do not use it to send medical details, test results, or anything you would not want read by someone other than the intended recipient. For anything clinical, call the office at (401) 737-2200.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services. The contact form is delivered by Amazon Simple Email Service. Bot protection is provided by Cloudflare. A map of our location loads from Google, but only after you click it — nothing is requested from Google until you do.
